Rev. Michael Middaugh

Rev. Michael Middaugh previously served as pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church, Silver Spring, MD from 2011-2021. He began his time at Calvary, a diverse and vibrant congregation in the heart of the city, by leading through a season of healing and restructuring after they had experienced several challenging prior years. He also assisted the congregation as they carried out several large renovation projects, a capital campaign, and in their role as host to multiple other congregations, organizations, and a school within their building. Prior to serving at Calvary, he was the pastor of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN from 2009-2012, having been called from the seminary.

Middaugh has a BA in Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas (2005) and a MDiv from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri (2009). He is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas.

Middaugh is married to Sandi, a native of San Antonio, whom he met while attending Baylor. They are parents to three children, Scarlett (8), Jude (7), and Sybil (6), who are all are enjoying more time with grandparents and extended family after moving back to Texas. In his free time, Middaugh enjoys hobbies and projects around the house, such as the shed/office under construction in the backyard, hiking and fishing, and getting outdoors as much as possible with the kids.
