About Us
The Church is the congregation of saints, in which the Gospel is rightly taught and the Sacraments are rightly administered.
Mount Calvary Lutheran Church preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified every Sunday to all world made weary by sin and death. Located at 308 MOUNT CALVARY Drive in Alamo Heights, just north of downtown San Antonio, we gather each Sunday at 10:00 am for Divine service and 8:45 am for Sunday School hour. Our goal is to find hope for today’s troubles in a historic liturgy and timeless hymns. We give Jesus to sinners, that all would know the comfort of God’s promises of forgiveness, life, and salvation delivered through word and sacrament. Mount Calvary is a member of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
We offer several bible studies throughout the week to dive deeper into God’s word. We believe and teach that the Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible word, and it is given that we would know that Christ has come into the world to save sinners through His death and resurrection. We believe, teach, and confess this word of truth as it is understood in Luther’s Small Catechism and the Book of Concord.
We make sure to find plenty of fellowship opportunities too. Join us for quarterly potlucks, men’s and women’s retreats, an active youth group that meets weekly, and a homeschool co-op on Mondays.
We would love to have you join us on Sunday, but would also be overjoyed to meet with you sometime throughout the week and give you a tour of our church and let you meet the pastors.
